About Potcake Cece

Meet Potcake Cece! This little lady hails from Turks & Caicos where she weathered both Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma! She is absolutely friendly with dogs and people. She is an absolute gem. Cece is a long legged and graceful @1+ year old, 38 pound shepherd mix who loves to hang out with you. She is happy, sweet, trusting and loving! She likes to follow you around, give kisses and go belly up for her favorite belly rubs! From day one, she slept all night in her crate without a peep and hasn't had any accidents in the house! She loves to play with our playful dogs, but is happy to hang out alongside our less playful dogs too. She's walking well on a leash. Cece is treat motivated and can do sit and down. She is eager to please and responds well if you call her to come or tell her 'no.' She is also friendly to visitors to our house. She is such a smart and loving girl! Cece's ears are adorable with the white one usually flying high while the brown one flops over. She has beautiful tan, grey and black coloring on her soft coat with a white belly, neck and legs-complete with a big white spot on her back. She almost looks and walks like a small deer. What a sweetheart! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH's heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.
