About Nelson

Are you looking for a dog or a baby deer? If you answered, 'Both!'...we've got the dog for you! Nelson is a 6 year old chihuahua pup who is long-legged, big-hearted, and all love. He arrived at ACL from a local animal control where he had been found stray. Nelson is a perfect sweet and sassy chihuahua - he loves to be held, cuddled, and sweet-talked, and he also loves playing with rope toys like the big dogs! You haven't seen cute until you've seen Nelson prance around with a tiny toy in his mouth! Nelson is a delicate little guy, so he'll do best with gentle kids 12 and up. Ideally, Nelson would go to a chihuahua-savvy family who loves them for their signature mix of sensitivity and feistiness! Nelson does fine with other dogs as itty bitty as him, and he'll probably do well with cats, too!
