About max

It is with great sadness that i am offering our Shepard for possible adoption. We adopted Max from a dog shelter after losing our Shepard of 11 years. we were grieving our loss and needed Max to help fill the void. when we found Max he was extremely sick and about 20 pounds under weight. he had kennel cough, dog flu, bacterial infection, and had just been neutered. after several trips to the vet Max is now very healthy. he is a joy and my best friend. Max is completely house broken and is left alone in our home when we need to leave. he has been alone in the home for up to 8 hours. he has never chewed anything or destroyed anything. as much as he loves the yard and his toys he is not an outdoor dog to sleep or be left alone outside. i believe he was mistreated before we found him and therefore wants to be with his human or be in the security of our home. he is high energy and plays and runs while outside. he is a sweet dog, we have a 1 year old grandson and Max loves and protects him. he is a great watch dog and warms to quests after they are in the house. we have not had him around other dogs so i am not sure how he would be. we will be very selective with his new home. if you want a constant companion and have the time to complete his training and love him, if you have a large outdoor space and are familiar with shepherds then Max would be perfect for you. he is the typical Shepard, devoted and protective. we are offering Max because we have elderly parents in ill health and need to spend time away. again, it is breaking our hearts to even post this, but would like for Max to find a forever home. please contact me by phone with questions.
