About Rain

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Rain is a 1 year old terrier mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue because she was not very friendly to the staff at the shelter; she would lash out when most people tried to touch her; she would cower in her kennel and once she bit someone (more of a graze) when she was terrified. Shelter staff knew that Rain was afraid and that the shelter was a big noisy, scary place for her and asked Fuzzy Pawz to take her in. After a few days in foster care she became best friends with her foster parents; she cuddles and begs for attention now. Rain has shown that in a quiet, fairly calm household she can thrive and relax. She is still not the biggest fan of loud noises and will run away and hide when a stranger visits but she is a very well-mannered girl and oh so sweet with her people. She loves other dogs and could play all day; she is currently living with 2 other small dogs and 2 dogs that are well over 100 pounds and she does great with all of them. Because she is still young she will need a home who is willing to work on basic training like sit, stay, and a refresher on house training. One-on-one training through someplace like Bad Behavior/Good Dog would be perfect for her as it is a lower key setting. Rain doesn't enjoy walks because they are unfamiliar and have loud noises but with time she will learn to enjoy them once she trusts her humans. Rain is house trained and crate trained; she even rides well in the car.
