About Angus

Adoption Fee: $200
Cairn mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Angus is a 3 year old terrier mix weighing in at a whole 10lbs. This little guy has been through a lot in the last few months and we are now looking for a special home that will be able to meet his needs as he continues to recover. Angus came to us last April, as an owner surrender, and was quickly adopted. Unfortunately the play styles of Angus and his sibling did not match up and Angus was getting hurt. He came back to us in the fall and we soon found he was in pain. Over the course of just a few weeks Angus received 3 surgeries to repair herniated discs. His recovery has been long but, he has done well and is now ready to move to a forever home. Angus is going to need a home with a family that can be watchful and careful, following his physical therapy plan and restrictions that are currently in place for Angus' recovery. This home should not have large dogs or dogs that could be too rough in their play. Angus is a happy dog who doesn't seem to understand why he can't be all over the house, jumping and running up and down the stairs but, he has some restrictions right now and jumping and steps are a few of them. Despite the things he cannot do, Angus (a typical terrier) is eager to play, run, snuggle in with his people, and test his boundaries. He gets away with a lot with that cute little face and sure knows how to work his magic. All that meet him fall in love instantly with his quirky head tilts (as if he understands every word you say) and excited little hops‰'Ű|his crazy hair only adds to his charm. Angus knows how to sit, loves treats (including apples and cheese) and truly just wants a family who can spend a lot of time with him. He loves belly rubs, ear scratches, exploring the yard, walks, and as much cuddle time on the couch as possible. He is also crate and house trained. Because Angus still has some time left in his recovery his family would need to be willing to go into a foster to adopt situation. We would not complete his adoption until Angus gets a clean bill of health from his surgeons and physical therapists. Angus is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested.
