About Jake

Jake is a 4 to 5 year old, male-neutered, German Shepherd. He is Up To Date on Vaccines. Jake and Zack are brothers that were pulled from a drug dealers home after he was incarcerated. These two guys were in horrible shape, very skinny, with flea dermatitis. These two boys are VERY special guys. Jake is a very dominant guy that needs a strong, firm and consistent person. He will consistently push his position to see where He belongs in the pack and with his people. Left unchecked, this guy could get out of control with territorial and possessive behaviors! Around good leaders, he is good with people coming and going, great with respectful children, young and older. He has been good with the other rescues and our personal dogs, but will push for dominance so we have to keep him in check and let him know he doesn't make the rules. He's good on walks with a good leader(would try to bark at people if being handled by a weak person) good in the house, good in the car and good in the crate. We want to find this gorgeous boy the perfect home as he will be the perfect dog for someone special.
