About Dallas

Meet stunning Dallas, a purebred, blue eyed Australian Shepherd. He was an owner surrender to our rescue and was terrified when we got him. He was not used for breeding because he is so skittish. Dallas is 2 years old and weighs 33 pounds. He is heartworm negative, and microchipped. His foster mom says he is good with other dogs, but seems to prefer the larger dogs, although he tolerates the smaller ones. He has not been tested with cats Dallas would not be a good fit for a family with young children, as their fast movements and activity levels would scare him. Dallas is a very sweet boy. He is working on his housebreaking skills. Dallas will need to be in a family with at least one other dog, as he gains confidence from them. He will also need a family that will be very patient with him, and let him come around in his own time. Dallas is still afraid, but has made progress; although he has a way to go. He is not yet at a point where he will allow his foster mom to pet him. Dallas is not at all aggressive, just fearful. He is learning to trust, and we feel with the right family, he will continue to trust and learn how to be a beloved family member.
