About ROCCO

SAY HELLO TO ROCCO! Rocco is a delightfully sweet 18 month old Lhasa Apso / Poodle mix boy ~ or 'Lhasa Poo'. What can we say about Rocco? Well, he's just one of the nicest boys you could meet. He came to us through no fault of his own. His prior family surrendered him because their toddler was 'too rough with him'. Rocco came to us with a limp and after bringing him to our Veterinarian for X-rays, it was discovered that he had a healed leg fracture that is not causing him any harm or pain. He also has a BB encapsulated near the fracture, but they do not believed caused his fracture and is not causing him pain. So the limp is not a limp from pain but a structural limp due to how the fracture healed as it more than likely was not stabilized to heal correctly. Unsure if the prior owner's toddler's 'roughness' was the cause. Rocco would enjoy a family with a another dog similar in size and temperament. He doesn't care at all for cats. He would love a family to call his own, one with adults or adults with older teens .. no infants, toddlers or little kids... and one that would show him kindness as opposed to roughness or being shot in the leg with a BB for kicks and giggles. Rocco walks very well on his leash and enjoys rides in the car. He listens to everyone very well and is happy to please. Rocco is housetrained, but like all rescues, he will need gentle guidance until he becomes accustomed to her new family's routine as to where to go and what to do. Rocco is a longer coated breed that will require weekly brushing as well as professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep him looking handsome! Rocco's adoption fee is $ 450.00. This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness visits, neuter, complete professional dental cleaning with extractions, all vaccinations including Rabies and Bordatella, de-worming microchip and professional groom.
