Luke is a 4-month old puppy and he is already showing signs of being a rather large dog in his adult years. He is in need of a forever home where he can receive training from his best friend, a human that will love him and teach him as he really wants to please his companion. He is still having some separation anxiety when his foster mom leaves the home or even the room lol but he is quite teachable and highly intelligent. His foster mom has taken him in due to a medical emergency with his previous owner that prevents them from having the means/time to spend with him. He needs a lot of time and attention (and adores it) since he is so young and curious. So far, he has not destroyed anything in his foster home and sleeps out of kennel on a dog bed in her bedroom through the night. He will alert you to his need to go outside and use the bathroom so potty training is well underway. One thing to mention regarding his need for training is that he is showing signs of food aggression and with the foster parents other dogs being dominant this is not a good fit for her home. Currently, the three dogs have to eat separate and even treats have cause some conflict where neither dog will back down so that is closely monitored as well. When food isn't involved, the dogs get along great and seem to really like each other. The foster mom needs to rehome him soon with someone thay has the time to train him to end this food aggression. This problem will need to be addressed by his owner so he doesn't continue with it as an adult and he is so smart it shouldn't be hard. Also, having him neutered will help a lot with this. He is a very sweet boy that likes to cuddle and tries to lick your face every chance he gets. He is always wanting to lay by your feet and be with people or his dog friends. His breed doesn't like being alone so someone that has time to spend with him and be his bestie is required in adoption. Please make a donation to Rescue Me to adopt him and give him a forever home where he can flourish and learn. Foster mom will be screening adoptees to make sure he ends up in a good home but the need to rehome his is urgent as he isn't working out the alpha situation in his foster home and it is causing stress. In his previous home he lives with an adult lab that he never had food issues with because she is more submissive so if you have other dogs, know that Luke will test their authority lol and maybe more submissive companions would be best.
