About Adorable Addie

Truly an amazing dog! Addie is a Boxer mix with possibly Staffordshire Terrier. Weighs 60 pounds and is estimated to be 18 mos old. Up to date on all shots, microchipped, heart worm negative and on preventative and spayed. She has an incredibly gentle demeanor with a sincere desire to please and be loved. Crate trained. Four hours max in a crate is ideal. She will bark if left unattended too long because she misses you. For that reason she needs a family that has someone home most of the time. We rarely leave her more than 4 hrs because she gets anxious. She sits before going in and out of doors, and before eating. She stops to let you wipe off her feet before entering, too. She knows the down command and we're working on stay. A very smart.. Chews on bones and does not seem to be interested in destroying personal things. She loves to run and play. Ok with other animals or people, but can be protective at when meeting another pup in her home so introduce on neutral ground first. She'll just need a day or so to get comfortable. She walks easily on a leash. You can touch her or even reach for her bowl while she's eating. She will eat right next to another dog, but a little personal space is always recommended. It takes her a minute to jump in the car, but a little encouragement goes a long way. She sleeps on a dog bed and does not jump in bed but likes the couch too if allowed. She sleeps all night in her bed without waking. She has been on a high-quality, low ingredient food and she eats 3 cups per day. She uses the bathroom throughout the day, and responds to 'business'. She likes you to wait for her or else she may just sit at the door. Addie had a rough beginning in life and needs love and tenderness. She is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever encountered. Addie will make someone the best family companion ever!
