About Tippy

We have a very special girl to introduce you to. Meet beautiful Tippy, an Italian Greyhound. Tippy came to us an owner surrender and was not in good shape. She had not been to a vet, and was severely underweight, and terrified. We think she is between 5 - 7 years old. Tippy is about 10 pounds. She is heartworm negative, and is microchipped. Tippy needs to be in a home with at least one other dog, as she loves them, and gains confidence from them. She has not been cat tested. Due to her fear, she would not be suitable in a home with children. Tippy's foster mom has been working with her on her housebreaking skills, but she isn't there quite yet. Tippy will need to go to a home with someone that is very patient and will work with her and let her come around in her own time. Tippy has made some big strides since we first got her. She used to hide all the time and not want to come out at all. Now, she will sit in the same room as her foster mom. She will take a treat from her hand as long as she is sitting (not standing). She is not yet at the point that she will allow her foster mom to pet her. But we believe with love, and patience she will continue to trust and become the dog we know she longs to be.
