About Jo C

Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Jo C 9 Years Old Female/Spayed Skin tumors Heart murmur Arthritis Supplements Fostered in Corvallis, OR JoC is happier than ever and has a renewed puppy-like zest for life! She's a total love bug and snuggle bug. Check-out her video where she's playing inside with her foster brother - outside it was 100 degrees so playing in that video wasn't really in the cards. For a girl who was always loved, JoC still had a harder than normal life. It was thought she could never be spayed or have her tumors removed. In June, JoC received an additional Cardio work-up to see if she could be a candidate for surgery - the pros and cons were weighed and it was decided she was healthier than ever and ready. She was spayed and several mammary gland tumors were removed. She has healed like a champ and the tumor results came back benign. She feels so much better! Keeping her on a grain-free diet, coconut oil and supplements has helped her coat come back in, put some meat on her bones, and helped lesson her itches. At nine years old it isn't surprising that JoC's back legs have a little arthritis-this does affect her jumping ability as well as pressing hard for long walks. She prefers short jaunts or strolls. JoC's arthritis does not slow down her go-go-go personality. JoC does fantastic in new situations and enjoys meeting new people with friendly ease. JoC is a happy soul and does well with my five year old male Boxer. She does well with any human age group, even the elderly. She is gentle and follows direction well. JoC will bark if a stranger comes to the door, and stops barking when told. She has no anxiety issues, is crate trained, and has great manners. I happen to think she is the perfect dog.
