It means that I don't have a mean bone in my body. I do have some naughty along with my nice-mostly my naughty shows itself by modest disobedience-mainly, I don't always like to come inside when I am asked. My foster mom has remedied the situation by making sure I always have a leash hooked to my collar when I go outside, that way she can grab my leash and lead me back inside when I won't let her catch me (because I am distracted by enthusiasm at the freedom of the large fenced yard). So here's my request: If you are going to adopt me, please be the kind of people who will let me spend large amounts of time outdoors; please have either other pets in your home who will play with me (or have people around a lot) because I do not like to be alone. Please don't put me in a crate. I hate it. It makes me panic. It might be something I can eventually get past, but if there are other ways you can contain me, that is preferable. Also, if you have someone in your house who will sleep with me, that's great. I have a soft snore, and I will be happy to sleep at your (or their) feet. I am carrying a few extra pounds, but that is only because my former owner fed me as a form of love instead of letting me go outside and play more often. I would much rather be snuggled and played with than given extra treats. My best quality is that I am kind. I am a big, strong girl, and I have all the breeding and strength to be aggressive and reactive, but I am not. I hate the crate (it makes me claustrophobic), but if you make me go in there I will. In other words, I'll protest gently when you make me do something I dislike, but in the crate I protest, greatly. So to sum it all up, I like constant company-be it adults, kids and other dogs. I would also like a corner on your couch and a place in your heart. I tend to like men more than women, but that's not an absolute, just a preference.
