Meet Aspen - Aspen is a 33 pound, 18' tall, 11 month old mini Aussie who is full of love, cuddles, and loyalty, and is looking for an ACTIVE family!! Requirements to adopt Aspen: - Must have a home with a good sized yard (sorry, no apartments); - Must have an ACTIVE lifestyle and want a constant doggie companion - Must have another playful, active dog in the household. Aspen is a sweet, smart, and very goofy little puppy. She is sure to make you laugh and provide much entertainment for you with all her little quirks and bouncy enthusiasm. She is a HIGH ENERGY Aussie, but as long as you're with her, that's what she cares about most. She is glued to your side no matter what is going on and loves nothing more than simply being around the people she loves while getting loved on. She is just about the best cuddler in town and is the perfect size to still be able to sprawl across you without [too much] discomfort for you. She also loves to join her family on car rides and go new places! Aspen gets along well with other dogs once she understands she has to share attention and toys. She loves to run and play with dog friends. She can be a bit overwhelming to smaller dogs, so ideally a dog her size or larger in the home is perfect! She is 'cat curious,' but does well with them and backs off when they warn her. ***Aspen was born with a rare congenital abnormality called bilateral ectopic ureters, basically causing her to be totally incontinent as neither of her ureters correctly connected to her bladder to store urine. After much testing, she was diagnosed and sent to Texas A&M Veterinary Hospital for two separate surgeries to reconnect her displaced ureters so she can store urine properly and not have constant urinary tract infections. Her final surgery was completed in mid-December and seems to have been successful!
