About Bruce

Bruce is a 6-year-old, very handsome, red lab. He has been my buddy since he was a puppy - life is now forcing us to part ways. This is very hard to write and I want to be completely transparent for you possible parents.. He is a very loyal & job driven guy who needs to be the alpha - no kids, other dogs or cats. He would thrive in a rural setting where he can follow his person around doing yard work all day while playing with his tennis ball. In the house, he is very mellow. He's a lap dog if you invite him up to snuggle, but also very respectful and obedient with limitations. Bruce has had two amazing trainers throughout his life who have taught him basic obedience/walking (sit, down, stay, heel, here, on-your-feet, go to bed) and although we've tried and tried over the years, hasn't warmed up to other dogs (besides his girlfriend, Pearl, an english bulldog), cats or kids. Like most labs, he would live in the water if he could (fun fact: he can hold his breath and swim underwater!) I am a filmmaker who's company (named Red Lab Films) was inspired by Bruce.
