About Dixie

Dixie is a fun loving dog, but needs more attention than our family can give her anymore. If she gets overweight then she can have Patellar Luxation problems, but if kept to a healthy weight she is a healthy girl. She gets anxious and prefers a strong relationship with one primary adult. That being said, she loves people and other animals when given an opportunity to adjust. She has been raised with small children, other dogs and other cats. She does get jealous and wants the most attention. She is very food motivated, so she will quiver and beg. Our biggest issue is that because she is alone for so many hours of the day she is not let out enough and potty's on the floor. She needs to be in a family that can give her attention and take her out every 3 to 4 hours to relieve herself. We want her in a loving home that can give her the love and attention she deserves. She is very attached to the mom in the family, so there is some anxiety of the mom that she will be very sad to leave. Please only respond if you are willing to give her a ton of love and attention. 11/20/18 update: We had taken Dixie off the site and decided to try keeping her; however, my husband recently passed away which has made caring for her even more difficult. We need to re-home her. Please let me know if you are interested.
