Vera is almost 2 years old, she came to us from an abusive situation so she takes little time to warm up to people, but when you have gained her trust she is your friend forever. We think Vera would do best in a household with another dog and no kids. She's currently staying with a foster. This is what her foster family says about her. Vera Knows commands like; Sit Stay Come Out No Lay down Inside - for when she goes into her kennel Easy She will go & sit & wait to eat until told 'ok' Walks well on a leash- on a scale of 1-10 I would say she is a 7.5- she doesn't pull and she'll stop when you stop. Somethings still 'scare' her but after 2-3 attempts @ investigating it she is ok She will not run out the front door when you open it, if you are just going in & out. She sleeps through the night in her kennel She stays in her kennel with no issues when we leave We have a Beagle next door to us that she does play with through the fence- she does not show signs of aggression. Other dogs that we encounter on walks, she seems indifferent..unless they seem aggressive, she avoids.. She feeds of of your mood, if your wanting to relax - she will too If you want to go for a run or play outside with her, she's in. She's a little anxious in the car, especially when you get out without her. But she doesn't get sick or get crazy. It's mainly new people that frighten her. She will avoid them..but if they try to touch her she'll act out from fear. If interested in Vera please go to our website theheartofrescue.org and fill out an application
