About Charlie

Howdy do! My name is Charlie, and I'm an ultra-sweet, talkative flame-point Siamese/ DSH mix fella with Frank Sinatra blue eyes who was born about November 2015. I'm happily ensconced in a warm indoor home now that Buster's Friends has rescued me after my family abandoned me when they moved out of their apartment. Boy, that was no fun living paw-to-mouth and dumpster-diving. Plus there are mean critters and it's dangerous out there, which explains how my tail was badly hurt and my paws were in rough shape when I first came into foster care. It took getting in pain like that for me to get up the courage to approach my future foster dad because prior to that, I was mistrustful of humans after my family left me behind to fend for myself. I used to run away from folks, but one morning I walked up to my foster dad, rubbed his feet, and meowed, 'Can you please help me?' I knew he had to be a good dude because he'd been feeding me for a few weeks whenever I'd sit outside his window and meow, 'I'm hungry. Can you spare some Friskies pate?' Well, he's been taking care of me ever since . . . and even took me to the vet to get my tail and paws healed. I get along great with the other house cats, but I'm still a little frightened of dogs. I have perfect scratching post manners and enjoy sitting at the window -- this time from the inside -- to watch the dangerous activity and inclement weather. Ah . . . isn't life great when you've kissed your hardscrabble days good-bye? As much as I like it here, I know that I want a home of my very own -- with a kind family and maybe a few friendly cats.
