About Jim Gordon

Hello everyone my name is Jim Gordon I was born 4/6/17 and I lived in one home before being brought to the rescue. I was severely abused and neglected and matted I was left tied outside in the cold and in the rain. When my rescuer was called to take me I looked like I just came out from the gutter drain or sewage pipe, I was nothing but skin and bones I had no food in my stomach and was forced to eat dirt to stay full and unless it rained I was forced to drink my own pee. human contact terrified me I knew not everyone was cruel and I desperately wanted to be loved but I could never muster up the courage to let people touch me or hold me being hit was all I knew so anyone approaching me I'd instinctively run away. I've gotten better I play and I'm happy and healthy and I love kids and my favorite game is fetch but I occasionally cower and run in fear if things get too loud and crazy. I would adjust faster in a home with another animal or kids but I need a family who is patient and understands it'll take time to gain my trust.
