For more information on this cat, see www.purrpartners.org/adopt/cats/ For adoption fees and more information about our adoption policies, and to complete an adoption application, please go to Adopt at www.purrpartners.org. DOB 10/9/17 Special Needs: Blind My name is Jellicle but my family calls me 'Jelly'! Let me tell you up front I am blind and proud of it!!! It does not hold me back at all. I play like the other kitties - as long as there is a bell I can hear, or catnip I can smell. I run around the house and jump and play with toys alone or with people/cats but please do not rearrange your furniture all the time. I can get up on couches and back down. I will come to you when you call me (unlike most other cats! Hehe) I am extremely social. I love LOTS of warm laps and lots of kisses. I purr all the time so that you can find me. I really like to be talked to because I see through sounds and smells. I have no issues using a litter box. Overall I am just like a normal kitten - except I am blind. I will never get up on a table or countertop. I will never go outside unless by mistake. So what do you need to know before you adopt a wonderful kitten like me? I cannot jump as I cannot see the ground to fall correctly. I will do best with no dogs and no young children. I love children but I don't know when to move out of the way and children are not good at watching for me. Maybe grandchildren or older children. I need an area with little or no clutter on the floor other than clothing (which you will find me sleeping on). My food and litter box need to remain in the same place - if you have to move it please show me. Also when you put food in my bowl will you show me or call me please? If you put me on your lap, when done please put me back on the floor - I cannot tell how high I am off the ground and I get scared (although once I get use to your couch/chair I can handle those with no problems) Because I have to climb to get up and down rather than jump, leather couches in the primary living area may not be a good choice. I do occasionally bump into walls and furniture. Occasionally I will get scared and ask for help, or just cry for you so that I know where to find a warm lap. Cannot think of anything else that would be needed. Overall I am a truly loving cat and pretty normal overall. Normally I stay pretty close to my humans.
