About Vinny

Adoption Fee: $150.00
German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Vinny came to us after being rescued off the street & having the threat of going to animal control. He is a happy, playful boy of about 2-3 years old & still has some puppy energy. Vinny is heartworm positive, & thankfully, the disease has been caught early & there are no symptoms of a heart murmur or cough. He will begin his heartworm treatment on Feb 6th & cannot be fully adopted until he undergoes his treatment. We do not finalize an adoption until our rescue dogs are completely vetted & all medical issues are resolved. We do welcome & encourage a potential adopter to foster-to-adopt during his 6 week treatment. He will need a calm environment to keep him as calm as possible during this time. Vinny is up-to-date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped, loves car rides, doesn't jump up & is crate & potty trained. He does well around other dogs & children but we advise no cats. If you would like to take in Vinny to foster with the expectation of adopting him & giving him his forever home, please contact us. Streethearts Animal Rescue always tries to find a lost dog's owner during their stray hold & for some time after during their vetting process before placing a dog up for adoption. Most all dogs that are in this rescue are found lost, running or abandoned are not microchipped or spay/neutered (vaccine status is always unknown). They are very often in poor health, emaciated, injured or Heartworm positive when they are rescued. Usually, more often than not, the owner is not found which we sometimes see as a blessing to the dog that obviously was not well taken care of. We sometimes have dogs that are surrendered to us. Streethearts Animal Rescue always strives to find the very best homes for our rescue dogs, fitting them to the right potential new owner. We take care of all their vetting & medical needs prior to being available for adoption. The breed we post is most often pure speculation from the dog's appearance & could not be truly identified with accuracy without a DNA test. We operate from donations only & always welcome any financial help anyone can offer to assist with the care of these misplaced dogs needs. Donations can be made with PayPal to [email protected]
