About Spike

Meet Spike - He's a senior Fiest Mix that came to us from Pocohantus County. They say he is 19 years old but wow! He sure has a lot of pep for a guy that age and Doc seems to think he is more like 14 to 15. Poor guy is blind and has been for some time I gather. I was told once he lost his sight he started having accidents in the house and he was put outside in a crate in a field of tall grasses :( Well no more of that nonsense for this ole cutie....I mean come on, just look at that face. Spike still has a lot of love to give and trusts quickly and seems to do great with all the dogs here and love attention of people too. He also learned his territory here very quickly with a little help and follows my voice when we need to go outside. He even finds his way into an open crate for a nap on an occasion. Spike is now up to date on his vaccines, heart worm and lymes negative, neutered and micro chipped. We also tested negative for glaucoma.
