About Joan of Bark

Adoption Fee: $295
Feist mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Joan of Bark! Terrier Mix Currently 8 weeks old and 5 lbs. Joan of Bark came from Tennessee with 6 other siblings a couple of weeks ago. After play time she loves to snuggle. She is always close by. She is very sweet and very smart. She gets along with other dogs, children, and absolutely LOVES people. She has been picked up and squished by people of all ages, including toddlers. Joan of Bark likes to chew on her dog toys and will play tug with you. Like any puppy, she will try to get away with stealing a shoe, but is learning the word 'no'. She is working on potty training. She is crate trained and she mostly sleeps through the night, but will cry when it is time to go potty. Joan of Bark is an active puppy and would be a great addition for an active family. A guard dog she is not - but a loyal companion for sure! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
