Ruby is a loving, faithful companion who was rescued as a stray in May of 2015. She is an excellent running dog and does need to be exercised twice daily or she is prone to behavior problems such as excessive barking, jumping on furniture, or escaping from fenced yard. She tends to be very territorial and thinks that all dogs walking by our house are invading her territory, so she barks pretty ferociously. She does very well indoors and seems to do best in an environment without a lot of noise. She is a sweet sweet girls who loves belly rubs, will not run away when on a hike off- leash........she talks/purrs in the morning when snuggling with her owner. She is very smart and also puts up with 2 cats and another dog, who is her son. She birthed 10 puppies shortly after we rescued her, not realizing she wasn't spayed. She was an excellent mother. I believe she will do best in a home in which someone can spend a lot of time with her. She craves attention and behaves very well when given the attention and exercise she needs.
