About Begthoven

Border Collie mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Begthoven (aka Bear) Terrier Mix? 8 weeks/6 lbs Begthoven looks big, but he is all fluff! He came from Tennessee with 6 other siblings a couple of weeks ago and went to a foster home with 2 of them. He gets along with other dogs, including big dogs, and absolutely LOVES people. He has been picked up and squished by people of all ages, especially toddlers. He even got pushed around in a doll stroller and enjoyed it. Every time the stroller came out, he was ready for a ride! Begthoven likes to chew on his dog toys and will play tug with his siblings or anyone. Like any puppy, he will try to get away with stealing a shoe or a stuffed animal, but is learning the word 'no'. After a good romp outside or playtime, Begthoven enjoys curling up on a blanket or occasionally in your lap. He is a ball of energy and it takes a little bit more play time than his other siblings to tire him out. Begthoven is working on potty training, and is just learning to go to the door, but still has accidents in the house. He is crate trained and will contentedly sleep in there with his siblings. He mostly sleeps through the night, but will make a ruckus with his other siblings when it is time to go potty. Begthoven is an active puppy and would be a great addition for an active family. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
