About Cricket

Butterfly and Cricket are a beautiful pair of sisters. They do not have to be adopted together but if you're looking for two new family members these two are special! Calico and torti short hair females approx. 2yr. Their adoption fee is $75 ea. They have been vet checked and spayed. They should be ok with other nice cats after an adjustment period but were scared of my dogs. Cruel neighbors left these two inside cats, outside on the doorstep when they moved. Even though there was a feral cat feeding station nearby they sat there waiting, getting skinnier and skinnier. When the 'cat lady' of the neighborhood found out she took them in, got them vetted, loved and fed. It's taken 9mo to get them fat again! Fyi�'�|a feeding station is where feral-wild cats are TNR'd - trapped neutered released and fed. Cats form colonies like this because irresponsible people abandon them, tossing them out like trash. They roam to find food then a loving caring concerned citizen starts feeding these starving cats forming a feeding station. They get TNR'd to prevent kittens, ear tipped so others know that these cats are fixed. The cats 'work' for us taking care of the mice, roof rats, scorpions and roaches but they must be fixed. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! Butterfly and Cricket�'�|Total opposites do attract! Butterfly the calico (with white) is more adventurous, curious and will adjust to probably any nice person. Cricket the torti (black and orange) will need more time to adjust and when she does she will probably attach herself to one or two of her people. Butterfly will be out and about putting on the show, not much of a lap cat and doesn't care to be held but will come and sit by you wanting her pets and rubs. Cricket will be totally content laying on your lap reading or watching TV. She is quieter, you can pick her up, give her kisses and she will be happy. They will play together, eat together, sleep together, and keep each other company when their people are away. They love interactive toys like feather on a stick or shoe lace drag. They love to scratch on the corrugated cardboard scratchers ($8 at PetSmart) and would love a nice big cat tree to lounge in (I have connections :). Butterfly likes up high in the cat tree to grab you for hugs when you walk by and Cricket down lower expecting pets. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment!
