About Otto

Otto is a rescue Great Dane. He is pure bred by back yard breeders who had no idea what they were doing. We rescued him at 4 weeks of age and raised him- he's now 1. He turned one this month (December). He has had all of his vetting. He's bathed and groomed. He's a very loving baby. The reason he is being adopted out is that he needs a family with more time to devote to his anxiety than we have. I don't like medicating him with Prozac and spending time in his crate while we are away only makes his anxiety worse. He can't help it. He's not aggressive. He gets along with small children and adults. We have other pets with no issue. He is not fixed but would need to be fixed as he is not meant to be bred- even accidentally. He experienced a torn cruciate as a puppy which has healed but could cause arthritic issues as he grows older. A good vet could assist with that. He's had no issues further. Otto is crate trained, house broken, and knows the commands 'sit', 'crate', and 'go potty'. He is an anxious dog but a LOVER. He is not a threat and is very submissive. He needs devoted time and work to help him live a happy, free life. Please help us find a good home for Otto! There will be an adoption contract as far as neutering and breeding/returns just for his safety and well being! If you're close enough, you can also take his crate with him.
