Luigi is 14 months old (Born Aug. 2016). He has lived on 2 farms and 1 indoor home with inexperienced Anatolian Shepherd owners. My husband is a dog trainer/behaviorist. He has worked with Luigi in the 2 farm homes but since the families were not 'dog' people Luigi was not given the structure or routine he requires. My husband and I own 5 Samoyeds and we brought Luigi to our house to train him and hopefully find a better home for him. We had him 3 weeks. Luigi and our only male Samoyed started fighting and not getting along, creating a very stressful life in our house. Luigi got along great with our 4 other female dogs. During 2 of the fights my husband got bit trying to break them up. Because of these 2 bites, Luigi is now in quarantine at Animal Control. He has until Dec. 30 to find a home or a foster. We don't feel that Luigi is aggressive, but he was trying to fight off our male dog and my husband's bite was the result of him breaking up the fight. He would thrive on a farm protecting animals as long as he has an experienced owner of Anatolian Shepherds. He is crate trained, house trained, electric fence and shock collar trained (through just the tone or vibration). He has protected chickens and cows mostly. We hope someone will consider him as his days are numbered.
