About Hershey

Handsome Hershey is a chocolate Doxie mix who is between 3-5 years old. He weighs about 14 pounds. His owner was having another dog groomed and mentioned that they were taking Hershey to the Vets to be put to sleep. Why? They said he had an overbite and couldn't eat. Well, he eats just fine, and it appears he was being starved based on how skinny he is. The groomer told the owner to get out and never come back and she would take Hershey. Hershey does great with other dogs and children. He has not been cat tested. He is microchipped. He is doing very well on housebreaking, and is being kept on a schedule His foster mom says he likes to be picked up, and is a cuddle bug. As with any dog that wasn't being fed enough, he gobbles down his food, and if given the chance, would eat the other dog's food. So his foster mom just feeds him separately. She is working on putting some weight back on him. This sweet boy deserves a wonderful family who will love him and take great care of him forever. He's ready to go home!
