About Rusty

Rusty came to our home in May of this year. He was in danger of going to the local shelter, as he was causing issues at his farm by nipping the horses' heels as his owners were riding. He is a loyal pet, however he does have a very dominant nature, and has made our little beagle afraid to eat. He is territorial around their food area, guarding her food from her. He has nipped two adult males, no issues around our children, but as he has fought with our beagle, they are somewhat afraid of him. We have tried all options available to us, short of medication and therapy. We have neutered, and tried exercising more frequently, neither have seemed to help the over dominance. We were told Rusty is a purebred Aussie, however we do not have any proof of this, as such I am listing as a mixed breed.
