Mac is a lovable 41 lb English Bulldog who absolutely loves attention. We suspect that he was originally kept in a crate at a puppy mill until it was determined that he would not grow large enough to breed. He was tried in a couple homes who chose not to keep him because of aggression towards other dogs, until his current owner adopted him from a bulldog rescue. We think the other dogs must have bullied him because he does well with female dogs and submissive male dogs. He is a smart dog that is driven by food and lots of positive reinforcement. He does have anxiety which he takes doggy Prozac for. He is typically kept in a crate at night since he occasionally pukes and pees in his sleep (though not with a blanket or pad as he tends to mark them every time). He gets anxious of strangers as well, and has some separation anxiety characterized by decreased activity and stuborness. Unfortunately, he is currently in a home where the owners both work full time jobs, and travel for their work. So he just is not getting the love and attention he needs. He would do very well in a home with an owner who is familiar with English Bulldogs and can be with him more often times than not. Our goal is to put him a better situation than what he is in so he can get the love and attention he needs.
