Meet Alana! Alana is about 5 months old and she was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico with her brother Alan. Puerto Rico is beautiful but life can be hard for dogs and cats. Dogs and cats wonder the streets looking for food, water, shelter. Most survive on mere scraps and on anything that smelled even slightly of food. The siblings were lucky because someone found them, put them in a box and and left them in front of Save the Sato Foundation. The kind volunteers there took care of them until Furever Home Dog Rescue flew them to NJ to live in foster homes. Alana's foster says she is very sweet. She is a little shy and she is learning that life could be good. She is now getting healthy food, water, treats, toys, a comfy bed and lots of love. Alana is curious about her foster home and likes to explore. She loves to cuddle with them and she gets along with their dog. Alana will run away if they approach he head on, but if they walk away she will follow then. And, when they walk into the room she is always happy to see them and greet them with a wagging tail. Alana doesn't play much with toys (she probably never had any) and she prefers to be with the pack and she even claimed a seat in the family room to watch tv with her foster family. Alana knows how to walk on the leash and is house trained. She is a gentle dog that wants to be accepted. Alana is such a sweet pup, and we recommend someone who has the patience to acclimating her to her furever home. She will be an amazing friend! you have a furever home for this pup, please email us at FHDR@att.net for an adoption application. To see more photos or to see Furever Home Dog Rescue's other rescue pups up for adoption, go to www.fhdr.petfinder.com Please note Furever Home Dog Rescue does not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be alone all day. The breed this pet is listed as is Furever Home Dog Rescue's best guess as we have no background info on who the mom and dad are. Furever Home Dog Rescue does not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported to NJ.
