Meet Prancer Blue Heeler Mix Currently 8 weeks old Prancer is such an adorable little ball of fun. She is about 8 lbs and will probably mature to a medium size about 30/40 lbs. Prancer was brought to the rescue a couple weeks ago along with her 4 other siblings, but parted ways with some of her siblings to go to her foster with her brother and sister. She is working on house training and doing really well. She will potty outside if she regularly let out, but she still does have accidents in the house. She has been sleeping in kennel at night with her brother and sister and has not had a single accident in her crate and is quiet all through the night. She loves people even little kids especially when they're willing to run and play with her. She doesn't really chew unless it's on her toys but she is a puppy and is still learning what 'toys' she's actually allowed to play with. Prancer gets along great with other dogs and would absolutely love to go to a family with another fun dog. She is also good with all other animals, from horses to cats, but is still learning that cats don't play the same as puppies. She is a very social pup, but will stick around even in an unfenced yard. Prancer is classified as the wild child of the group because she absolutely loves to play, and loves to go on walks. She currently walks about 2 miles a day with her foster at just 8 weeks old, so she would make a great running buddy for someone. This fun little puppy can't wait to find the perfect family for her! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
