About Murphy

We would like to introduce you to sweet Murphy. Murphy is a male miniature Poodle. He is a senior man at 10 years of age and weighs 16 pounds. Murphy came to us from a local shelter where he was surrendered by someone who was moving and didn't or couldn't take him with them. They had only had him 6 months when they got him from someone who didn't want him anymore. So we want to make sure his next home is his forever home. Murphy is the gentlest dog you will ever meet. He happily greets new visitors but without being a pest. Like many older dogs Murphy had some dental issues that have now been addressed. He had his teeth cleaned and lost several as well. He is still eating soft food as his mouth heals, but will soon be able to eat dog kibble again. Murphy gets along well with other dogs, even those bigger than him. He has also lived with cats and does well with them, too. If you are looking for a little dog that will snuggle against you but not insist on being in your lap, Murphy is the dog for you. He will follow you and likes to be near his people. He also enjoys sleeping in bed with someone. Murphy is a very quiet dog and hardly ever barks. He is used to a fenced yard, but also walks very well on a leash and rides very nicely in a car. There is no need to kennel Murphy because he is very well housetrained and just wants a soft, warm place to nap while you are away. Murphy is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. He would be a great companion to a human senior who would like a little buddy.
