I am in transition and cannot keep my two dogs, Finnegan and Maybelline. I am hoping to get them into good homes, either separately or together. Finnegan ('Finn') is a 2.5 year old pure breed Chihuahua that weighs around 9.5 pounds. He has a huge personality! He likes to snuggle and loves to play with his toys, particularly if you throw them for him in the house. He has his opinions about a lot of things. He prefers masculine men and feminine women. He likes the company of men and really wants a dad. He would be great with cowboys, truckers, construction workers... you get the idea. He likes women too, but he longs for masculine energy. He has a luxating patella, which is a skip in his step due to a tendency in Chihuahuas to have the tendon not have a groove to settle into. He still goes on 2 mile hikes on the daily though. Finn also doesn't like puppies at all. Once the dog passes a year old, they're fine with him, but please do not consider him for puppy compatibility. Finnegan can be a bit protective if he feels threatened, or if he feels that a dog is threatening his companion. He has never hurt another animal, but you should know that he's a macho man. He has his own man cave (no, really!) and a heated dog bed which we call 'the bucket'. He likes his stuff. He's independent and also friendly when he's in the mood to snuggle. This little gentleman is very, very smart, complex and interesting. He will never be boring!
