About Sophia

Sophia is a sweet 2 1/2 year old shih tzu who came to us because she is very skittish and submissive. Sophia is looking for a calm, quiet and gentle home with no children. Sophia takes a bit to warm up, but once she does you better be ready to snuggle. If you let her, Sophia will spend all day in your lap! Sophia has never lived with other pets, but seems to be ok with her small dog friends here. She has no interest in playing, but gets along with everyone. Sophia is doggy door trained and will use the bathroom outside if let out often. Sophia is ready to find a family of her own and hopes that they will understand that she needs patience and time to adjust to her new life. Sophia is a small gal at only 8 pounds full grown and would do best in a calm home, with maybe one other small and gentle dog. Her adoption fee is $300. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed & vet checked. To meet her, please come to our shelter location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021 open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Call for location on the weekend as we have off site adoption events that some of our dogs attend 602-944-2440.
