Roxy was rescued several weeks ago from Hopeful Baptist Church in Burke County, Georgia. That county has a huge stray animal epidemic because there's no shelter, no animal control, and animals regularly are abandoned and discarded like trash. She was rescued by her foster mom Sheryl Claxton, who loves Roxy dearly and says she just pure love and joy. Roxy gets along with her other dogs and has become best buddies with Sheryl's dog Bo, and even likes to go inside his crate with him. They play a lot together and she loves to be cuddled. Roxy loves to be an inside dog and foster mom Sheryl would love for her to find a home where she will be an inside dog! This sweet girl has been through a lot. It was obvious that Roxy had recently had puppies when she was found but since she was a stray we don't know anything about her background. She has been treated for heartworms and has been given the all clear by a veterinarian, Dr. Ford. Roxy just needs to have a follow up in six months. This gentle soul will melt your heart! She's looking for her permanent soft place to fall - her special someone - could it be you? To meet Roxy, please contact Roxy's foster mom Sheryl Claxton at 706-466-3153.
