Howdy! My name is Perry, and I'm a friendly, outgoing, sweet, lovable, and loving brown-tabby-with-white Maine Coon/ domestic medium hair mix fella who was born about December 2012. All these qualities, and I'm handsome too!! I'm beautifully marked with a fluffy white bib, mittens, boots, and tummy -- not to mention my big ruff around my face, tufts in my ears, and big fluff of a tail, which are all earmarks of Maine Coon mixes. Also like Maine Coon mixes, I'm a 'gentle giant' who adores people and being comfortably situated in their laps. I'm great with other cats and tolerate the dog in my foster home. Although I haven't been around kids, if I'm like most Maine Coon mixes, I'd be a terrific family pet who's very gentle and tolerant of kids. To learn more about Maine Coon mixes, watch the attached video that appeared on Animal Planet. All this said, you're not going to believe that a fantastic dude like me has had such hardscrabble beginnings. Until I was rescued into my foster home recently, I had spent my entire life in a trailer park as an outdoor stray. I lived hand-to-mouth and did a lot of dumpster-diving until one resident started feeding me consistently. However, much to my dismay, she moved out of the trailer park and couldn't take me with her. (No room in the inn with her having 3 big dogs inside her trailer!) But this kind soul cared enough to arrange for Buster's Friends to rescue me and bring me inside to a feast of brimming food bowls, clean water, and cozy, warm places to snuggle. She knew that a sociable fella like me deserved a better life with a family inside a warm home. I can't tell you how elated I was that I had to endure the elements outdoors -- rain, cold, and hot droughts -- no more! As much as I adore my foster meowmy (and her lap!), it's time for me to have a lifetime home of my very own where I don't have to share her lap with her other cats. So if you're looking for an affable, sociable lovebug, look no further! Arrange to meet me today! Waste no time because a champion lap cat like me will not be available for very long! Perry is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Perry, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
