About Nicholas

Talk about seeing a transformation in an animal! When this sweet boy, Nicholas, first came to the shelter as a stray, it took him quite a while to even trust us enough to come out of the vehicle. His tail was tucked and he was absolutely terrified. After being with us for several days, we now know that Nicholas is the happiest, most friendly, sweetheart of a pup! He trusts us and has no issue showing off his cute, funny personality! Nicholas even gets zoomies when he is really excited! He is about 1-2 years old and is just a small guy! He weighs around 30 pounds or so. Nicholas knows how to sit and is learning to wait, as well. He loves yummy treats and will work hard to learn to earn them! Regarding his health, Nicholas does have a salivary cyst inside his mouth. He will be on medicine for 3 months while it is being treated. If the medication is successful, there will be no further treatment! If not, the salivary gland will need to be removed. The shelter will be supplying the medicine for the 3 month supply. Nicholas has done well with his dog-friendly dog interactions. We are unsure what he thinks about cats. Needless to say, we have loved getting to know him and seeing him begin to trust us. He will be a phenomenal addition for a very lucky family!
