Sheriff is an 18 MOS very active. Loves to run and play. I am unable to exercise this dog to his full potential due to my physical disabilities. He gets along with my older children 12 & 15 but, tries to dominate my 10 yr old by nipping her. She Doesn't feel comfortable with the dog because He's to quick for her. He gets along with Rocky my treeing walker beagle mix. He's quick, fast and agile. He gets a 10 from me on agility. I left the window open for the cats and he took his time measured distance and jumped out. Great at climbing. He obeys sit, come, lay (down), down (stairs), no, inside and loves playing fetch. Loves squeaky chew toys. He loves to chase two of my cats that run on site of him. The other cats that walk by don't get chased. He also, helped me raise a 2wk okd kitten by licking her clean and stimulating her. No, issues with my granddaughter doesn't mind her petting him or touching him. He very vocal with an varied array of barking and grunting. Very alert. I was surprised to find him at the Philadelphia SPCA. But, alas he isn't getting along with my youngest. He's protective of house. Strangers are fine when invited in but, uninvited guests get barked at and blocked from proceding further. He would be a great hiking buddy.
