About DayZee the Dogo

Well hello there, I'm DayZee and I'm a 3 year old, 100+ lb. pure bred spayed female Dogo Argentino (Argentinian Mastiff) = WOW ! Do you believe in love at first sight, souls destined to meet, miracles? Well I do ~ it's exactly how I felt when I landed here in rescue! I'd been stuck in a confined, penned up 'breeder' situation my whole life, viewed as nothing more than a puppy factory before winding up in a high kill shelter which actually turned out to be fate as my luck changed from there! A very nice lady saw me in the shelter, brought me home and got me to my new rescue friends where I can romp, run and play with other dogs for the first time in my life ~ WOO HOO, nearly ALL my fantasies come true! My rescue friends are working on that one last big dream of finding a family and a canine companion of my very own... I'm really hoping the angels will be listening to all my prayers... Paws crossed! My HIGH intelligence, SILLY but SWEET personality, exuberance for life, sheer JOY in my new found freedom and devotion to pleasing my people have Mare singing my praises to all who'll listen. I have a great time with my BFF, 'Gavin' and all my friends at our indoor multi dog indoor foster home, playing with all the dogs I meet. Some of the dogs can initially be a little intimidated by my size but my good nature and zest for life usually wins them over. If you like walks, hiking or running, then I'm your girl ~ I'm a top athlete outdoors and the PERFECT couch potato inside�'�| it wouldn't be proper to be pushy about attention. I also enjoy hanging out to watch movies or entertain friends and I'm especially good with children. Car rides are great too ~ I sit nicely to take in the scenery wherever we go. I'll stick by your side through thick and thin 'cause I'm the most LOYAL friend you'll ever encounter! Some people might consider me 'special needs' because of my deafness but, since I've been deaf from birth I'm completely acclimated and it seems perfectly normal to me, having never known different ~ I'm sooooo ATTENTIVE, amazingly BRILLIANT, dedicated to pleasing, responsive to common hand signals and always do my level BEST to behave that it's a very rare person who even realizes I don't hear most sounds! A simple vibrating collar is an easy way to ensure you can quickly gain my attention should I happen to be otherwise occupied. Easy enough! Typical of the original Dogo breeding, I have a STABLE, even temperament, so I'm INTELLIGENT, easy to train, AFFECTIONATE, extremely GENTLE and very well behaved indoors knowing that's the place to be kicked back. Some people I'm known for being an excellent breed ambassador who's SUPER socialized, housebroken, crate trained, sits instantly for treats (without being asked, thank you) to impress all my new friends!
