About Lucy

Lucy is about a year old and was rescued from a college campus in Augusta, Georgia. She's currently being boarded at a kennel in Augusta and the staff just love her! (as of 12-19-17, she's been there for two weeks). An employee at the kennel named Lytisha who takes care of Lucy and spends a lot of time with her said that Lucy will hug her and wrap her paws around her and nuzzles her head into her head and chest! She also said that she's been working with dogs for five years and has never had a greeting like that from a dog. She would have adopted Lucy herself if it weren't for her jealous dog. Lucy is very friendly, affectionate, loving, and has that typical lab personality - loves everyone - just a very gentle soul. She will melt your heart. She's a bit leery and unsure of herself when around other dogs, so she's learning how to trust and the staff are working with her on that. She may not have been socialized with other dogs when she was a puppy but she's learning to trust and it will be fine. Lucy's just waiting for her special someone or special family - a permanent soft place to fall - could that someone be you?
