ADOPTED 5/19/18: THANK YOU STAR, ROBIN, AND JASMINE!!! 'Rita Marguerita' is a lovely loving Griffon who will be your loyal friend and enthusiastic outdoor activity partner. 5 1/2 yo spayed 50#. Strong energetic, playful, a little quirky! Seeks breed-savvy home that can commit to daily activities that work her body and mind. Must be integral part of household - very affectionate, bonds strongly. Totally reliable/housetrained in home and on property (all fenced), w/dog door for in/out at will. Good in car /crated or back of dog gate. She loves runs off leash in desert/forest (learning to come to call/whistle). Probably a non-hunter, noise 'sensitive' -- but loves 'hunting' critters. Probably best w/no cats or chickens. Exuberant/playful (hide and seek, chase, wrestle), loves her toys -- and can be mouthy so best in adult home, or maybe w/responsible sturdy bigger kids. Knows 'sit', 'down', 'shake' (very cute), 'here' and 'stay' (most of the time), on leash training in progress but working more on the recall off leash - and doing well!. Good w/other dogs: small dog and non-dominant pushy dogs. Vaccinated, healthy, HW neg, full blood/urine/fecal done - all normal. We require application, phone and in person interview, home visit, dvm references, adoption contract and fee ( to be shared among rescues involved) -- and follow up.
