About Rex

This is Rex, a Beagle/Dachshund Mix. A big dog name in a little dog body. He is full grown at 25 pounds and believed to be around 2 years old. He is neutered, Heartworm negative, on flea and heart worm preventive and up to date on vaccinations. Rex is a bit bashful, but really loves people. He will follow you everywhere and when you sit down, he's right there to wiggle into your lap and settle in for some petting. Rex likes to lay on his back, which makes the faint snoring coming from that little body even more cute. Currently, Rex is living with 3 big dogs. He is cautious and respectful to them and always prepared to dodge those big paws headed his way. He has met smaller dogs and happily sniffs and wags his tail. He has not had any encounters with cats. He is doing really well with potty training. Rex doesn't mind hanging out in his crate, but really prefers to be right next to you. Going for walks and car rides is a real treat, but he's not too sure about playing with toys, or chase games. Rex would feel the most comfortable in a quiet home or with dogs his own size. His adoption fee is $95.00 and he must have a fenced yard for protection while outside.
