Hi, my name is Bella! I am ready for a forever home where I really can stay & be loved forever. My previous owner decided he didn't want me anymore after getting a puppy so rescue took me in & is loving me & keeping me safe until I get a new owner that will love me for life. I was already spayed & my age is between 2-4 yrs (yes, my story is complicated & a lot of facts were not communicated). I am very short & stubby, weighing 47 lbs, and people like to call me a little pot-belly pig due to my short stubby legs & little body! My foster mom calls me Belly B. I get along with well with other dogs but can get grouchy around my food bowl with other dogs but not to people, otherwise, I a just a real easy going girl. I love kids, taking walks, going on car rides & just being by my person's side. My breed is pure speculation from my appearance & could not be truly identified without a DNA test. I do know this, though, I am a great dog & will make a good companion to you. I am waiting for my person. Is it you? I am spayed, microchipped, crate-trained, potty-trained, good on leash & up do date on all vaccines. Bella was lost at first & when the owner was found, he stated he wanted rescue to keep her. Streethearts Animal Rescue always tries to find a lost dog's owner during their stray hold & for some time after during their vetting process before placing a dog up for adoption. Most all dogs that we find lost, running or abandoned are not microchipped or spay/neutered (vaccine status is always unknown). They are very often in poor health, emaciated, injured or Heartworm positive when they are rescued. Usually, more often than not, the owner is not found which we often see as a blessing to the dog that obviously was not taken good care of. We strive to find the very best homes for our rescue dogs, fitting them to the right potential new owner & take care of all their vetting & medical needs prior to being available for adoption.
