My name is Skylar. I am probably a Golden Retriever/Lab mix. I am about 14 weeks old and am still very much a baby. I got in trouble for not knowing all about Christmas trees and not to play with all that pretty paper and lights on the tree. How was I supposed to know that those weren't toys for me? Humans don't get it that we don't know right from wrong - we don't get it that things on the floor or within our reach aren't for us to play with. I never meant to ruin Christmas for the kids. I got bored without my own things to play with and no one watching me. I now find myself looking for a new home. The folks here at the shelter are giving me lots of loving but it just isn't the same as my very own home - I can't promise I won't get into things I am not supposed to - until you teach me. I am doing really good on going outside to go potty and I promise to learn quickly if you help me do that. I will be looking for a new home once you remove the Christmas stuff out of my reach - when the shelter opens again on December 28th you can come and visit me. I will be anxiously waiting for my very own family that understands I am a baby. NOTE FROM SHELTER: Skylar will be spayed, current on her puppy shots, wormed and micro-chipped and available on December 28th. Her adoption fee will be $225.00. Our adoption application is on our website at www.patriotsforpets.com if you are interested in any pet available at Patriots.
