Her crystal clear eyes just exude affection and intelligence. She loves people of all ages and other pups, including senior dogs, with whom she is both playful and respectful. Raven has all the curiosity and energy of a young Catahoula, but she is also very responsive to the activity level of her surroundings and mellows out when the house is quiet and/or she has toys to keep her occupied. Raven is not above being mischievous if she's bored (consider your boots and bras warned!), but her foster family says her attention is easily redirected. Raven does well with two long walks per day (she especially enjoys 'pack' walks with her foster fur buddy!) plus some time to sniff and play in the yard. She would also train easily to be a great running or hiking partner. Raven will fit in well with and make a wonderful companion for any type of family. An ideal situation for her will be one in which she has human or canine company much of the time so she doesn't get lonely or bored. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Raven's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
