About Sally Mae

Hi there, my name is Sally Mae! I am 2 years old and weigh 31lbs. I am a wirehaired terrier mix. I have a wirehaired coat that didn't shed much when my foster parents gave me a bath and brushed my sandy colored coat. I am sweet girl who needs a little bit of time to adjust to my new surroundings. I need slow introductions to new dogs too. I might be right at home as the only dog in the house. So far I have showed my foster parents that I appear to be housebroken, no accidents yet. I am a smart girl who settles down nicely in my crate after playtime! I have a good bit of energy but I also like to cuddle for belly rubs after I run in the yard. I love to play with my rope toys in the yard. Sometimes I like to hide them from my foster parents. I like to take walks and am working on my leash skills. Sometimes I get excited but I am learning. If you have fitness goals for 2018, I can help you! I love to run and take walks. I think a home with children age 12 an over would be the best fit for me. I have a some energy and get excited and jump. I am trying to learn that jumping up on people is not polite. I promise to work hard on that. Also, sometimes loud noises and sudden movements startle me. I am spayed and up to date on my flea and tick preventative. Check back for more updates about me.
