Miss Gretchen is a 2-year old doxie/min pin, who weighs 13 pounds. She has a doxie face, nose, ears, and even body, but she is long-legged. Gretchen came into a southern shelter so scared, and obviously not socialized. It has taken her some weeks to learn not to be frightened of her foster mom. She is still quite shy with strangers. Gretchen enjoys running and playing in the yard with the other dogs, and even likes the snow! A home with another playful dog is a must for Gretchen. And she loves to cuddle up on top of a cozy quilt. She can be protective of her spot with the other dogs. Gretchen loves to play with toys and with her foster mom! A calm home with one or two adults would be best. A fenced yard best for Gretchen so she can get to know her new family on her own terms. Her new family will need to be prepared to offer Gretchen patience, understanding, and lots of TLC. If you feel you can open up your heart and home to this tender soul, please reach out and/or submit an application to adopt at http://www.almosthomerescue.org/onlineforms/adoptform.htm. Gretchen's adoption fee is $250 to help rescue.
