About Montana

Montana is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Montana is currently fostered in Dade City, FL (Pasco County). Montana is a handsome kelpie mix of a little over a year and 35 lbs. He was rescued from a hoarding situation. He loves attention from people, but can be come overly attached to one person. He needs a strong leader, set boundaries, plenty of exercise to alleviate his habits, and a crate to give him a space of his own. He absolutely requires a patient, loving, understanding person to work with him through his quirks. He has come out of his shell with other dogs in foster care, and can be playful with other dogs, but does not like to be cornered by the more alpha members of the pack. A quieter foster or adoptive home would be optimal for him. In exchange, he will give you unwavering loyalty. Montana is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, and heartworm negative.
